Features

Everything you need, nothing you don't.

Precision trackpad

Velocity-adaptive cursor — responsive at high speed, smooth at low. 1-finger move, 2-finger scroll with momentum.

Full keyboard

Type anything, trigger any shortcut. ⌘⇥ App Switcher, Mission Control, Spotlight, Dock toggle — one tap away.

Media controls

Play, pause, skip tracks. Adjust volume and brightness with sliders. Everything in a clean frosted overlay.

Instant connection

Your Mac appears automatically on the same Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. No pairing codes, no accounts, no router config.

Ad-free

A clean, focused experience — nothing gets between you and your Mac.

Private by design

All traffic stays on your local network. No cloud, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs. Your input events go nowhere else.

Privacy

We don't track you.
Not even a little.

Most apps collect usage data, crash reports, or analytics. Mac Remote Control collects nothing — by design, not as a feature.

What we never do

  • No analytics or usage tracking
  • No account, no registration, no email
  • No third-party SDKs or advertising libraries
  • No cloud storage, no servers, no internet required
  • Your keystrokes never leave your local network

What we actually store

  • Cursor & scroll speed — two numbers in local preferences
  • Language preference — stored on your device only
  • Your Mac's hardware address — locally only, to enable Wake on LAN

That's it. All three items live on your device and vanish when you delete the app.

Encrypted in transit

All communication uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity — encrypted end-to-end between your iPhone and Mac.

Mac Companion

Also install the Mac server.

Mac Remote Companion runs silently in your menu bar and receives input from your iPhone. Free, no account required.
